Princess Di fave Bruce Oldfield green velvet dress 6 8
Princess Diana loved UK designer Bruce Oldfield’s work. And
with good reason.
Here we have a shimmery velvet (not metallic, it’s the silk)
green dress with the most amazing front.
It is ruched at the side seams and they feed into a braid down the
center front. It is fully lined and has
small, shaping shoulder pads about ¼” thick at the widest.
There’s not an inch of stretch in this and the fit is
defined by the lining. It may be a very skilled seamstress doing an
after-market lining, not sure it’s original, but it was not home-made. A pro
19 across the underarms, 17 across the waist, 20 across the
hips, 19 across the hem. 17 across the
shoulders and sleeves are 24” long. 38” from nape to hem. Neck is 14” around.
The sewing form measures 38 – 30 -39, FYI.
I am not a professional seller. I do this because I am weak
and must have money for shopping. So please check your measurements and
understand that I take returns only if I've really made a mistake in the
factual portion of the description (I got a note from a customer who wanted a
refund because I said 'you'll look great in this' and she didn't)
I also shop here on eBay and try to behave like so many of the great sellers
and buyers I've had the privilege and good luck to deal with.
Ask me anything.
